Paris Day Two: Flea Market, Sacré Couer, Notre Dame, and More

Paris Day Two: Flea Market, Sacré Couer, Notre Dame, and More

I usually don’t sleep well in places that aren’t “home”. I’m not sure why but I struggle falling asleep in hotels and hostels. But last night, after I hit submit on my blog and my head hit the pillow, I was out. I might have woken up once during the night which is rare for me when I’m sleeping somewhere else—it’s usually at least 5 times. I also slept until my alarm went off, something else strange for me. But that’s the perfect indication...Read More
Paris Day One: Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, The Louvre, and more

Paris Day One: Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, The Louvre, and more

I woke up in Santander, spent the day in Madrid (at the airport), and fell asleep in Paris.  My life here in Europe is always full of new adventure and that’s one of the things I’m going to miss the most when I come back home to America. Today, the day you’re reading this, is Friday and it’s technically my second day here in Paris but I’m going to call it my first because yesterday doesn’t count. Yesterday we flew from Santander to Madrid...Read More
Granada Day Three: Alhambra, Familiar Faces, Shopping, & More

Granada Day Three: Alhambra, Familiar Faces, Shopping, & More

I woke up at 6am and immediately started getting ready for the day. Usually, I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic to be up before the sun but it was all in the name of the Alhambra. I wrote an entire essay on the place for art class so going to the real thing was something I was looking forward too for the entire South Spain trip. After breakfast we began the trek to the Alhambra. Another all uphill trek that left my breathless but was...Read More
Granada Day Two: Cathedral, Flamenco, and the Biggest Paella Ever

Granada Day Two: Cathedral, Flamenco, and the Biggest Paella Ever

Today we were given the luxury of sleeping in and it was so nice. We didn’t leave the hotel until around 10am which gave me plenty of time to rest and eat breakfast before starting day one in Granada. The day started off with a visit to the cathedral which was conveniently located very close to our hotel. I’m so impressed with the cathedrals here and how absolutely beautiful the architecture is. We walked around, stopping to taking pictures along the way. At one...Read More
Córdoba and Granda Night One

Córdoba and Granda Night One

This morning was my last morning waking up in Seville. Wow, that's so sad to say. I’m going to miss this beautiful, warm, city so much. Seville has easily become one of my favorite cities in all of Spain. But all good things must come to an end so at 8am we said goodbye to Seville and rode off to the next destination: Córdoba. One of my favorite things about studying abroad is that you actually get to go to the places that you learn...Read More
Seville Day Two: Plaza de España, La Catedral, Las Setas and more

Seville Day Two: Plaza de España, La Catedral, Las Setas and more

I could really get used to waking up in Seville. Even if that means waking up at 8am to get dressed, have breakfast, and out of the hotel by 9am. Early mornings aren't so bad when they're early mornings in Seville. The day began with a walk to the Plaza de España. The Plaza de España is located in the María Luisa park and it is absolutely beautiful. It was originally built for the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929 and is today known as a...Read More
Seville Day One: Real Alcazar, Santa Cruz, Flamenco, and more

Seville Day One: Real Alcazar, Santa Cruz, Flamenco, and more

I stepped outside and immediately fell in love with Seville. It's warm here. Like, really warm. So warm I don't need a jacket. Santander doesn't know what warm weather is so I'm embracing this as much as I can. And it's SUNNY here. And there aren't 22 mph winds. I love Santander but this weather is amazing and I'm really really grateful for it. We started the morning with breakfast and then a trip to the Real Alcazar which is a royal palace literally...Read More
Week Six in Santander: March 5-March 11

Week Six in Santander: March 5-March 11

I blinked and suddenly I'd been in Santander for six weeks. Time is flying. I think I've said that before but it really is. Every time I write one of these posts, I can't believe another week has passed. This week was rough, if I'm being honest with you all. I spent the first half of the week trying to catch up on all the lack of sleep from the London trip. And I spent it battling some sort of cold that has given...Read More
Four days in LONDON

Four days in LONDON

Santander, Spain to London, England Arrival Time: 12:00pm, Thurs March 1 When I was thinking about where I wanted to go while I was studying abroad, London was one of the first cities that came to mind. I don't know if it's the accents or the fact that everyone from London that I follow on Instagram just looks so cool, but I've wanted to come here for so long. And now I'm here. It's crazy and unreal and magical to watch your dreams manifest into reality....Read More
